Amundsen chilled when he spoke of blue-green seas, icebergs, breeching whales and a dog’s yelp ringing like crystal in the depths of a crevasse.
Armstrong spoke of a globe glowing with life when he looked back from the moon.
From the C25th John Doe whimpered about silence -an infinity among planets as barren as Earth.
